Why use Edit PDF?

Most PDF edits are additions rather than rewrites: initialling a page, filling a blank line on a printed form, circling the clause you are asking about, or dropping a logo onto a cover sheet. This editor covers those directly, without installing anything. Everything you add is positioned in the page's own coordinate space, so what you see is where it lands in the exported file — at any zoom level, on any device.

Limitations

Worth knowing before you start:

  • This editor adds new content to a PDF. It does not change text that is already in the document.
  • Scanned pages are images, so there is no text in them to work with. Recognising it would need OCR, which is not included.
  • Signatures are visual marks, not certificate-based digital signatures.
  • Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked before they can be edited.

Can I change existing text in a PDF?
No. This editor is designed for adding new text, images, signatures, drawings, shapes, and links. Editing existing PDF text is not included in the first version.
Can I add a signature to a PDF?
Yes. Draw your signature with a mouse or finger, or upload a photo of one, then position and resize it on the page. This produces a visible signature image, not a certificate-based digital signature, so it is not the same as a cryptographically verifiable e-signature.
Are my PDF files uploaded?
No. The PDF is opened and re-saved entirely inside your browser, which matters when you are signing contracts or annotating anything confidential.
Can I undo a mistake?
Yes. Undo and redo cover everything you add, move, resize, restyle or delete. On desktop the usual Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Shift+Z shortcuts work.
Does the editor work on mobile?
Yes. The toolbar sits along the bottom of the screen within thumb reach, selection handles are sized for fingers, and the download button stays visible in the top bar.
