These terms apply when you use Online PDF Editing. Using the site means you accept them.

Your files are yours

You keep full ownership of every file you work on here. We claim no rights over your documents, and because the tools run inside your browser we never receive a copy in the first place. See the Privacy Policy for how that works.

The service is provided as-is

These tools are offered free of charge and without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that every tool will work with every PDF, that the site will always be available, or that a given file will produce the result you expect. PDF is a large and inconsistently implemented format, and files produced by unusual software sometimes behave in unusual ways.

Check important documents

Always check the output before you rely on it, and always keep your original file. This matters most for documents with legal, financial or medical significance: a contract you are about to sign, a form you are about to file, or a record you are about to submit. Open the downloaded file, confirm the pages are the ones you meant, and confirm nothing you needed has been lost.

We are not liable for any loss arising from the use of these tools, including lost or corrupted files, missed deadlines, or a document that turned out not to be fit for the purpose you needed it for.

Some files will not work

Certain files cannot be processed in this version, and the tool will tell you when it hits one:

• password-protected or encrypted PDFs;
• damaged or incomplete files;
• XFA-based forms, used by some government and banking PDFs;
• files large enough to exhaust the memory available to your browser.

No guarantee of legal or regulatory suitability

Nothing here is legal advice, and no output is certified for any particular regulatory purpose. In particular, the signature feature in the PDF editor produces a visible image of a signature. It is not a certificate-based digital signature and should not be assumed to satisfy any legal standard requiring one. Cropping a page hides content rather than deleting it, so it must not be used to redact confidential information.

Acceptable use

Use these tools only on files you have the right to modify. Do not use the site to break the law, to infringe someone else's rights, or to attempt to disrupt the service for other people.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the site develops. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed materially.
